Digital Product Passport (DPP) – The Regulatory Push

From 2024, the European Union will introduce the Digital Product Passport (DPP): a "digital twin" that accompanies the product, providing information on its origin, materials, environmental impact, and end of life. It is an integral part of the Ecodesign regulation for sustainable products and will require companies to manage an increasing amount of data.

This information originates in different systems: PLM defines design and materials, digital traceability collects sustainability data, and PIM centralizes and harmonizes this information.
